🍑2024 is another sad year for Paradise Peach Lovers🍑
Oh no, not again!!! What happened to those peaches anyway?
We are are very sad to have to share that our orchard took another big hit from the cold this past winter and once again we lost our crop. Believe it or not, all it took was was just one extremely cold night (-24 degrees F to be exact) to kill all of the blossom buds on all of the trees in our orchard.
There was also significant damage to the wood on the trees, but fortunately after strategic pruning and lots TLC they have recovered relatively well. We are felling hopeful that they have potential to produce well next year.
We will definitely miss all the peachy-ness this year, but for now we’ll try to make the most of a less work filled summer and try to fit in some grand adventures…
